About Mr. Mendez
Hi everyone, my name is Jovani and my students know me as Mr. Mendez. I am a K-5th grade Physical Education teacher and I have been teaching in the Paramount Unified School District for 4 years. I graduated from California State University, of Fullerton and I received both my Bachelor's of Science in Kinesiology in (2015) and teaching credential in (2016).
Human movement has been a big part of my life and it has impacted my life for the better. It has improved my life by helping me connect with people, overcome obstacles, build a stronger mind, live a happier life, and I have used it as a tool to become the first person in my family to graduate from college.
I would like to share my knowledge and influence people to continue adding meaningful movement experiences to their lives. I believe with research we can all find physical activities that we enjoy and experience the benefits of human movement. There are many available resources out there that we can use to learn about the different ways we can stay active for a healthier and happier life. Whether it's by hiking, dancing while you are doing chores, working out, going to the gym, running, playing sports, or simply going out for a walk with your family and friends. I encourage all of you to join me and lets move through life together! :)
